Matt Dayes Gets In Endzone in 1st Preseason Game

Former NC State running back Matt Dayes scored his first NFL touchdown last night in the Browns 20-14 victory over the Saints in their first preseason game.

Dayes rushed 3 times for 9 yards, and also collected 3 receptions (4 targets) for 8 yards. The Browns took Dayes with the second-to-last pick in the NFL Draft this summer, and he is out to prove that there were not 29 running backs better than him in the draft.

“I wasn’t really counting. I don’t know how I knew that number, but I just know the number to tell you the truth. I know for a fact there were not 29 running backs in that draft that are better than me.” (Link)
