Former NC State Defensive Back Dontae Johnson was forced to sit out the 49ers first preseason game yesterday due to suffering a concussion on Tuesday. Johnson has been working with the first team defense in Fall camp, following the departure of Tramaine Brock and the conversion of Jimmie Ward from corner to safety. He is entering his 4th season in the NFL (all with the 49ers), and has played in 47 of 48 games, starting in 6. The 49ers selected Johnson in the 4th round with the 129th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
