NC State Women’s Soccer Preseason Ranked #23

TDS (Top Drawers Soccer) has released their 2017 preseason poll, and the Wolfpack Women’s Soccer team is ranked 23rd. NC State is one of seven ACC schools in the Top-25 rankings:

4) FSU
5) Duke
9) UNC
14) Notre Dame
19) Virginia
21) Clemson
23) NC State

NC State returns all 11 of their starters from last season, which includes their top 4 scorers. The Wolfpack also brought in a recruiting class of 7 skilled freshmen.

Tziarra King and Kia Rankin both earned All-ACC Freshmen Team last season, and King was on the All-ACC 3rd team. The future looks bright for the Wolfpack ladies.

Last season was a breakthrough season for NC State, advancing to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 20 years, and made it to the Sweet 16 for only the 4th time in school history.

The season opener is this Friday at Oregon (who didn’t receive any votes in the preseason poll) at 8pm.
