Carlos Rodon Keeps Rolling, K’s 9 in 6 innings

Former NC State pitcher, Carlos Rodon, continues to roll for the Chicago White Sox. In his last five starts he has a 2.27 ERA with 37 strikeouts and 9 walks (All coming against playoff teams CLE, BOS, HOU, LAD, MIN).

Rodon seems to be one of the top pieces the White Sox are counting on for their rebuild. They are currently in last place in the AL central, but with Rodon performing at elite levels, former Nats prospect Giolito coming up, and super-prospect Yoan Moncada starting to get in a groove, the Sox could be primed for a big season in 2018.

Rodon will certainly be the ace of this staff if he can keep this up, and it’s clear why. His stuff is filthy, but he’s finally learning how to harness it and pitch later into games. Here are his highlights from last night against the Twins.
