3-Star DE Jason Mercier Lists NC State in Top-5

Scout’s Corey Bender caught up with 3-star 2018 Defensive End Jason Mercier (6’5″/235), and the standout out of the state of Florida listed 5 schools that stand out from the rest, and NC State was one of them, along with UNC, Rutgers, Pitt and Colorado St.

In the video above, Mercier states that loves NC State defensive line coach Kevin Patrick, who actually played down in Florida at the Univeristy of Miami, and has a great relationship with his coach. In our last football recruiting update, we predicted he would land at Pitt, but we will have to see where the cards fall. At minimum, it is good to see new NC State Defensive Line coach Kevin Patrick being received this well on the recruiting trail.
