NC State’s Men’s Soccer team started off their 2017 campaign last night with a 3-2 victory over Florida Atlantic University. The Wolfpack twice climbed back from a one-goal deficit, but freshman Manny Perez’s first career goal ended up being the game winning strike at the 33 minute mark. Junior Tanner Roberts and Sophomore Stephen Elias scored the other two NC State goals.

The George Kiefer era started off victoriously last night. Kiefer previously was the head coach at South Florida for the past 15 seasons, leading them to the NCAA tourney in 10 of those seasons. For some perspective, the Wolfpack last went to the NCAA tournament in 2009, and has advanced to the tourney 3 times in the past 15 years (13 total NCAA tournament appearances).

NC State returns to action on the road on August 28th against William & Mary.
