NCSU vs. USC Important in Jovaughn Gwyn’s Decision

4-star 2018 Offensive Lineman Jovaughn Gwyn (6’3″/290) is down to three schools, and two of them, NC State and South Carolina, are playing against each other this Saturday in Charlotte (his other team is Duke). Though he doesn’t have a specific date of when he is planning on making his decision, this game is going to shape his decision.

“I want to see how the offensive line (for each team) plays and how they play as a team,” Gwyn said. “My parents want me to take official visits, but it depends on how I feel after these games. I’m really waiting to see how they play. With these games, I’m going to see if I feel comfortable enough to make my decision without taking official visits.” (THESTATE)

Gwyn has been a top priority for the NC State 2018 recruiting class, and I think they are in good shape with the big fella, but a Wolfpack victory in his hometown (Harding University High School, Charlotte/NC). In my opinion, the dream scenario is a huge performance from the Band of Brothers (NC State O-Line), and a commitment from Gwyn shortly afterwards before ever taking official visits to South Carolina or Duke.
