Yesterday ESPN’s Mark Schlabach took a stab at predicting how each ACC team will finish the 2017 regular season and which players are most likely to win the end of season conference awards, and he predicts NC State will finish the season with an 8-4 record (5-3). With this record, according to Schlabach’s predictions, the Wolfpack would finish 4th in the Atlantic.

He also picked NC State Defensive End Bradley Chubb to be the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. To put this in perspective, Levar Fisher (2000) is the only player in NC State history to ever win this award.

Schlabach also believes that NC State is the ACC team most likely to rise, and to the delight of Wolfpack fans, he also believes that UNC is the ACC team most likely to fall.
