4 Former NC State Players Waived by NFL Teams this Week

Four former NC State football players unfortunately were cut from NFL rosters this week as each team trims down to their final 53-man roster.

Defensive Tackle T.Y. McGill was waived by the Indianapolis Colts, which personally shocked me. McGill was about to enter his 3rd season with the Colts, and has flashed quite a bit when given the opportunity. In 25 games over the past two years, McGill has tallied 12 tackles and 5 sacks.

Cornerback Jack Tocho was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the 7th round of this years NFL Draft, and even though he was waived this week, it is likely that he makes the Vikings Practice Squad.

Wide Receiver Bra’Lon Cherry went undrafted this summer, but was picked up as a free agent by the Atlanta Falcons. It’s not easy to make the team when you’re drafted, let alone when you are undrafted, and unfortunately Cherry was waived.

Finally, T.J. Graham was waived by the Carolina Panthers after being picked up as a free agent this summer. Graham was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He didn’t play in the NFL last year, but played on the Jets, Saints, Titans, and Bills from 2012-15.
