NC State Nickelback Freddie Phillips To Miss Season

NC State head coach Dave Doeren revealed in his press conference today that Junior Nickelback Freddie Phillips tore his Achilles in the 2nd quarter against South Carolina, and will miss the remainder of the season. Since Phillips played as a Freshman and Sophomore, Phillips will be able to redshirt this season.

Phillips was second on the depth chart behind Shawn Boone at Nickelback in the South Carolina contest.
