The NC State Men’s Soccer team went 2-0 last week, with a signature win over #3 Clemson on Friday, and a 2-1 victory over Longwood on Sunday. As a result, the NC State Men’s Soccer team surged into the Top 25 this week, landing at #18.

True Freshman Goalie Leon Krapf earned the ACC Defensive Player of the Week honor for his performance.

Krapf had a great weekend for NC State, playing all 180 minutes in wins over No. 3 Clemson and Longwood. He held the high powered Clemson offense to zero goals, stopping all five shots that came his way. He then allowed just one goal in the team’s next match, a Sunday win over Longwood. For the week, the freshman goalkeeper from Gochsheim, Germany, posted a .857 save percentage. (ACC)

The Wolfpack will be back in action on the road Friday night against #4 Notre Dame at 7pm.
