4-star Manny Bates to choose between NC State & Georgetown Tomorrow

Manny Bates (2018, 6’9 PF) is a 4-star prospect that NC State and Kevin Keatts desperately want and need.

Next season the Pack will be without Malik Abu, (likely) Omer Yurtseven and Lennard Freeman. That frees up a ton of front court minutes, which is a good sell when you’re trying to bring in big time talent.

This morning there was a little breaking news on Manny Bates. According to Scout.com’s Evan Daniels, Bates will likely be announcing his college decision tomorrow morning at 10am. He was scheduled to visit South Carolina and Georgia Tech, but it seems as though those schools have been eliminated as Bates canceled both. That leaves NC State and Georgetown. He is an in-state kid, so the hope is that he stays put and dons the red and white.

We’ll have to wait until tomorrow at 10am to find out for sure, but our bet is on Keatts. I know Patrick Ewing probably has a nice pitch for a big, but we believe staying local will be the major factor here.
