Before we completely move on to Furman, we wanted to take a detailed look at which NC State defensive players the coaches kept on the field the most against Marshall.

Defensive Snap Count: South Carolina

Linebacker
Against South Carolina, RS Senior Jerod Fernandez led the linebackers in snaps, but Senior Airius Moore took the top spot this week. Moore was on the field for 76% of the snaps against Marshall, compared to 58% the week before.

Cornerback
Sophomore Nick McCloud played every single defensive snap against Marshall. If RS Freshman James Valdez wouldn’t have torn his ACL, he might have stolen more of RS Senior Johnathan Alston’s snaps.

Nickelback
Senior Nickelback Shawn Boone played all but one snap in the game against Marshall.

Safety
Sophomore Tim Kid-Glass played every single started every single snap in the first start of his career, playing in place of the injured RS Junior Dexter Wright. RS Freshman Isaiah Stallings also played his first career snaps against Marshall.

Defensive Line
Not a shocker, but Senior Bradley Chubb led the charge with the most snaps once again. Roseboro, Bryant, Frazier and Smith-Williams all saw significant bumps in playing time.
