on

Before we completely move on to Furman, we wanted to take a detailed look at which NC State offensive players the coaches kept on the field the most against Marshall.

Offensive Line
Once again, Senior Tony Adams and RS Junior Tyler Jones played every single snap. RS Freshman Joe Sculthorpe played every snap in his first career start. RS Junior Terronne Prescod played 59% of the snaps against South Carolina, but bumped up to 78% against Marshall. Will Richardson will be back at his normal starting spot at Right Tackle against Furman, so expect RS Freshmen Joe Sculthorpe and Justin Witt to get only a few snaps going forward.

Tony Adams – 71
Tyler Jones – 71
Joe Sculthorpe – 71
Terronne Prescod – 55
Justin Witt – 16

H-Back
The Swiss Army knife Senior Jaylen Samuels got a little bit of a breather against Marshall. He played 80% of the snaps against South Carolina, and 65% against Marshall

Jaylen Samuels – 46

Tight End
NC State used more Tight End sets against Marshall, with Cole Cook getting 63% of the snaps, compared to 53% against South Carolina. RS Freshman Dylan Autenrieth got only one snap in the season opener, so he saw a bump last week.

Cole Cook – 45
Dylan Autenrieth – 11

Quarterback
We have now gone two games without the use of reserve Quarterback Jalan McClendon. RS Junior Ryan Finley took every snap once again.

Ryan Finley – 71

Running Back
Once again, Junior Nyheim Hines picked up more snaps than Junior Reggie Gallaspy, but the latter was much more effective against Marshall. It will be interesting to see if Gallaspy gets more carries against Furman. Also, it’s worth noting, Senior Dakwa Nichols got his first snap of the season last Saturday.

Nyheim Hines – 37
Reggie Gallaspy – 34
Dakwa Nichols – 1

Wide Receiver
Sophomore Kelvin Harmon and RS Junior Stephen Louis switched places against Marshall, with Harmon taking the most snaps at Wide Receiver. With that being said, Harmon and Louis played 91% and 92% of the game respectively against South Carolina, and 75% and 69% against Marshall. One of the reasons for this is the increased playing time of Meyers, Riely, Emezie and Ramos. Senior JuMichael Ramos got his first snaps of the season against Marshall.

Kelvin Harmon – 53
Stephen Louis – 49
Jakobi Meyers – 34
C.J. Riley – 16
Emeka Emezie – 16
Gavin Locklear – 9
JuMichael Ramos – 5
