NC State Women’s Soccer 13th in 1st RPI Poll

After tying #3 UVA 0-0 in double overtime last Thursday and defeating Western Carolina 1-0, the NC State Women’s Soccer team now enters the full ACC slate with a 7-1-1 record, and a #13 ranking in the first RPI poll of the season.

Also, NC State Junior goalkeeper Sydney Wooten was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week.

Wooten played all 110 minutes in goal in double-overtime scoreless draw against Virginia and all 90 in a 1-0 win over Western Carolina. She posted back-to-back shutouts and totaled 10 saves on the weekend, including a season-high six against the Cavaliers. (ACC)
