FSU Game

  • Didn’t have penalties in a hostile environment like they did against Clemson last year.
  • Took care of the football.
  • Held them to only 1 touchdown in 6 trips to the red zone.
  • Bradley Chubb: End of the half sack, forced fumble, and all the rest of the pressure he applied.
  • Germaine Pratt made a key play in man-to-man coverage
  • Stephen Louis catch on third and long near the end of the game.
  • Jaylen Samuels made a lot of Jaylen Samuels like plays.
  • O-Line phenomenal: Ryan Finley was hit twice and sacked only once.
  • Carson Wise was consistent like he has been in practice.
  • Pass Rush continues to be a strength.
  • Continue to give up big plays in the passing game, and they will get that fixed.
  • Disappointed in allowing a punt to be blocked and the false start on the play prior to the punt.
  • For years we have been telling the players that their hard work was going to pay off. It’s nice for them to actually experience to pay off.  This is the reason players like Bradley Chubb came back.
  • Proud of the way Jakobi Meyers bounced back after being held out of the Marshall game because of a lack of preparation. He played really well outside of his 15-yard penalty for flipping into the endzone which set up FSU for a field goal. He is an emotional player like Bradley Chubb, and current Packer Josh Jones, and doesn’t see that as a bad thing, but something that can positively be harnessed and controlled to become a strength.
  • No one panicked on the sideline after the blocked punt and safety. Went out and held FSU to a 4-and-out.
