Former NC State Shortstop Trea Turner is hot at the plate heading into the playoffs. Turner finished the month of September with the 9th most hits in the National League, and the 2nd most stolen bases. Heading into Friday’s Game 1 of the National League Divisional Series, Turner has 4 multi-hit performances in his last 10 games, and has 6 hits in his last 10 plate appearances.

Turner finished the 2017 regular season on Saturday with a .284 batting average, 11 home runs, 24 doubles, 71 runs, 6 triples, 45 RBI, 30 walks and 46 stolen bases. Remember, this was his production in 98 games. Imagine if he wouldn’t have missed 2 months of the season with a fractured wrist. If you project out his stats for 162 games, you’re looking at 18 home runs and 76 stolen bases. Think about it.

The Nationals will face off against the Cubs in Game 1 on Friday at 7:05pm, and Trea Turner will lead the charge.
