4-Star 2018 Power Forward Ian Steere committed to NC State this morning in front of his fellow students at Northwood Temple Academy.

Steere broke down his commitment with Elevate Hoops this morning, and here’s why he said he chose to run with the Pack:

“Well it’s close to home and I get to represent my home state,” said Steere. “The staff is great, everyone is genuine and honest and it feels like a big family.”

“Their main message to me was the immediate amount of minutes I would be playing as a freshman and how perfectly I fit into their system. Coach (Kevin) Keatts has big plans for State and I can’t wait to be a part of it,” he continued about his decision.

Steere believes he has a lot to add the NC State’s program from day 1

“Size, versatility, and toughness,” said Steere. “I’m going to come in day one with an attitude that State is going to win it all and I’m going to help as much as I can.”
