Jaylen Samuels Still on Pace to Catch Cotchery

NC State H-Back Jaylen Samuels is still on pace to catch Wolfpack great Jericho Cotchery.

Cotchery caught 200 passes in his career at NC State, and has held the school record for career receptions since the end of the 2003 season.

Samuels currently sits behind two legends, but one day these legends will sit behind the legend that is Jaylen Samuels.

1) Jerricho Cotchery – 2000-2003 – 200 receptions
2) Torry Holt – 1995-98 – 191
3 ) Jaylen Samuels – 2013-2016 – 176

Through half of the regular season slate, Samuels is averaging 8.3 receptions per game. If he keeps up this pace, he won’t just catch Cotchery, but will blow past him, finishing with 226 career receptions. That’s not even accounting for a likely bowl game.

Enjoy watching Jaylen Samues over the next 6 or 7 games. You’re watching one of the best of all-time at NC State.
