Will head injury keep TJ Warren out of Suns season opener?

TJ Warren is on the cusp of becoming an NBA star. He recently inked a big-time deal with the Suns and is looking for 2017-18 to be his true breakout season.

He’s already proven he can hang in the league and at times be dominant. What he has not yet proven is that he can stay healthy over a full season. Since entering the NBA TJ has had a number of nagging injuries that have cost him significant time. The preseason has been no different.

Last week Warren was hit in the head and was forced into concussion protocol. He passed but also needed stitches. They considered him day-to-day when it happened, but he has yet to see the floor since the injury.

Should we be concerned? If this were the first head injury for Warren I’d say no. But last season he had a head injury that kept him out weeks and the reason was never disclosed by the Suns.

We are keeping a close eye on this and hoping TJ will suit up for the Suns opener on Oct. 18th vs Portland.
