NCAA bends the knee. UNC walks free.
After UNC admitting fraudulent paper classes. After UNC embarrassingly telling the NCAA what they can and can’t police. After years of back and forth, the verdict is in. And the ruling is….
The NCAA could not conclude that UNC violated any academic rules.
That’s right. Not guilty. No penalties. No lost scholarships. No banners down. That’s it. They walk free like it never happened.
I’m going to go ahead and leave the responses to twitter for this one.

Certainly hope EVERY other school was paying attention. Fight everything. Keep your violations academic. NCAA is a wet paper towel. https://t.co/BcpFdyYddy

NCAA: “Here is your punishment.”
UNC: “No.”
NCAA: “Don’t mess with us we’ll give you more.”

Derrick Rose may not have taken his SAT, has entire season vacated. UNC players don’t go to class for 30 years, no punishment.
Makes sense.

Boise State got punished for letting freshmen sleep on players’ couches before they were enrolled. … UNC 2 decades academic fraud: Nada.

The notion that there would be zero punishment honestly never crossed my mind.

Essentially, every school should create fraudulent classes for athletes, but throw a few non-athletes in there to keep the NCAA at bay.
