Dennis Smith Jr Drops 9 Assists in Return to NC

Former NC State Point Guard Dennis Smith Jr was one assist from dropping a double-double in his return to the state of North Carolina.

Smith sprained his ankle in Thursday night’s preseason game, but he wasn’t about to miss playing in front of his friends and family in Charlotte against the Hornets. He finished last night with 10 points (4-9 FG), 9 assists, 3 steals and 2 rebounds in 27 minutes of play. Smith was also 2 of 3 from deep range.
