NFL.com Ranks Chubb #5 Future NFL Star

Another day, another list that NC State senior Bradley Chubb is climbing. This time it’s NFL.com’s Midseason #CFBTop25. This is a list that is based on not only college play, but also pro potential.

Chubb slots in at #5, behind only Saquon Barkley (Penn St), Ed Oliver (Houston), Sam Darnold (USC) and Josh Rosen (UCLA). That is a pretty impressive list right there and to see Chubb right in the mix with those guys is exciting. NFL scouts were keeping an eye on Chubb this season, regardless, but with his play as of late, they are starting to get excited.

Here is what NFL.com had to say:

Chubb’s been a man possessed for the Wolfpack. He ranks second in the nation with 14 tackles for loss and is tied for third with 6.5 sacks in just seven games. Chubb’s strength is impressive, but his short-area quickness and never-say-die pass-rush mentality are what scouts really love. He could have been a top-15 selection in last year’s draft, and there’s been no reason to drop his grade so far this season.

It’s possible that with big games against ND and Clemson that we could see Chubb move even higher up this list. Either way, we are watching one of the best players to ever suit up in the red and white. Let’s enjoy it.
