5-Star SF Wendell Moore was at Primetime With the Pack

NC State started recruiting 5-Star 2019 Small Forward Wendell Moore (6’5”/210) when he was 13 years old.

Since then he has become a 5-Star prospect, and he is ranked as the 22nd best player in his class by 247Sports.

Moore was in attendance at Primetime With The Pack on Friday, which was rather odd.

Recently, it was expected that Moore was going to be committing early to UNC in the near future, but the expectations have now changed.

In came an offer from Duke, and everything changed. Moore told UNC at Late Night with Roy that he was “expanding his recruitment.”

According to his Father, this isn’t all about the Duke offer.

“He isn’t (doing this) only because of the Duke offer,” Moore Sr., told THI on Monday afternoon. “He just wants to experience some more things, take some visits and continue to work out for the college coaches. He really likes working out for the coaches.”

“They have needs for the class and I’m sure he is a big part of that for them. He is still considering North Carolina. And they said that they’ll still recruit him. But they will look at other guys at his position too. They might fill the need too.

“He plans to continue to (talk to them) and as of now, they are still his leader. He is only 16-years old. So it’s mainly that he just wants to go through the process and see some options. He wants to take his official visits.” (Rivals)

According to his father, the schools he is currently interested in visiting are Duke, NC State, Stanford, and Wake Forest.

NC State head coach Kevin Keatts has done an excellent job with his 2018 recruiting class, but can he turn it up a notch and bring on players like Moore, the reigning North Carolina Player of the Year?
