On October 13th, a mere hour after the NCAA let UNC walk after over half a decade investigating their fake classes, the NCAA announced that Beverly would be ineligible this year, forcing him to waste his redshirt season.

Beverly enrolled in two summer classes at Ohio St, and was only on campus for 4 weeks before Thad Matta was given the boot. Graciously, Ohio St granted him a release from his letter of intent.

NC State is appealing, and hoping the NCAA will grant Beverly a little bit of grace as well.

You can never know how long it will take before a final decision is made when dealing with the NCAA, but hopefully it comes before the start of the season. It would be heinous for Beverly to be forced to waste his redshirt season now, no longer having it at his disposal in the future if he were to get injured.

A little bit of common sense and an ounce of grace should make this a no brainer of a decision.
