WATCH: Rivers gets 100th win, hands Broncos 1st shutout loss in 25 years
Former NC State QB legend, Philip Rivers has had a nice little run of late for the LA Chargers.
In week 4 he put up 347 yards and 2 TDs. In weeks 5 and 6 he eclipsed 250 yds and tossed a total of 4 TDs. Not too shabby for a 35-year-old QB who after week 3 many questioned if his age was catching up to him.
Last night, Rivers looked to keep the solid play going against a Broncos team that had beat them 24-21 in the season opener. The result this time around was much different.
Rivers completed 15-26 passes for 183 yards and 2 TDs without throwing an interception and the Chargers shut out the Broncos 21-0. This was the first time the Broncos have been shutout in 25 years.
The win was also Rivers’ 100th of his career.
