Last night we saw the TJ Warren NC State fans know and love.

After struggling a bit his last two times out, the former Wolfpack star really got it going in the Suns’ win over the Jazz last night.

Warren dropped 27 points on 12-20 shooting and added in 5 boards for good measure. Maybe he’s just shaking off the rust after being sidelined with a mysterious head injury, or maybe he feels more comfortable with the new interim head coach Jay Triano, who spoke glowingly about TJ after the 97-88 win.

“TJ Warren tonight was great,” Triano said. “I think he’s starting to get a feel for what he can do and where he can go on the floor.”

Since the Suns fired Earl Watson for going 0-3 to start the season, Jay Triano is 2-0. If he can get Warren on track on a nightly basis, this young Pheonix Suns team could be a real surprise.
