Dave Doeren Talks Before Notre Dame: Bulleted

Published

on

NC State head coach Dave Doeren met with the media for the last time yesterday before the Wolfpack and the Fighting Irish kickoff on Saturday at 3:30. Here’s a bulleted breakdown of what he said:

  • There are more recruits recruiting us now. Players not interested in the summer are texting setting up visits.
  • If Finley plays well enough where they think he should leave early, then that’s good for me because that means we are winning. We’ll deal with that when the season is over.
  • Notre Dame QB Brandon Wimbush is a good athlete. No doubt. But he’s no Lamar Jackson.
  • Not much film to watch Notre Dame’s drop back passing game. They haven’t needed to, because they have been able to pound everyone.
  • Historical to play Notre Dame, at their place, when they are in the top-10, and both playing for the same national stakes.
  • ND RB Josh Adams sometimes goes 7-9 Yards before he is even touched.
