We’ve already shown you what basketball analysts and media members have been saying about the denial of Braxton Beverly’s waiver to play this season. Now ESPN’s loudest sounding board, Mike & Mike take direct aim at the NCAA for their actions.

“This is inexcusable. It’s unimaginably ridiculous. And to Dr. Emmert and everyone else at the NCAA, we get that there are problems and that you’ve lost control of certain things, and most of those are not your fault. But this is what you do. This is the NCAA’s job…. There is no early explanation that makes sense for this kid not being allowed to play. This is a decision that should be and must be reversed immediately.” said Mike Greenberg

This is a  bad look for the NCAA and the media is relentlessly and rightfully piling it on. The time may be ripe for NC State to take action and challenge the ruling once again in an attempt to get Beverly eligible, while also calling national attention to the old, flawed rules that the NCAA is founded upon.
