Debbie Yow ready to take on NCAA over Beverly Eligibility Case

And there it is…

We were pretty confident that this Braxton Beverly story wasn’t over. After ESPN’s Mike&Mike went on a tirade calling for the decision to be reversed and a ton of big-name media members lashing out at the NCAA, we felt like the public pressure would get to them and at least force them to open it up to a little more discussion.

That hasn’t happened yet, but NC State’s Athletic Department is now in the ring. The Wolfpack’s AD Debbie Yow just tweeted this out…

Good for you NC State and good on you Wolfpack fans. Your voices were loud and clear and with the media at our backs, there is still a chance.

All of this is coming on the heels of Kevin Keatts’ press conference quotes…

“Even though we’ve filed the waiver and the appeal, a piece of me is holding hope out that someone sees that this kid deserves to play.”

“I think Braxton and his family are going to look at different options. I don’t know what that is. I haven’t had a chance to talk with those guys about it. I know they are disappointed with the outcome.”

We’re not exactly sure what Debbie Yow has planned and what options are left on the table, but our guess is that if the NCAA doesn’t allow any more appeals, then there might be some sort of legal option on the table.

That’s just speculation from us, but we’ll keep you updated.
