4 Star DT Alim McNeil Commits to NC State!

NC State’s 2018 Football recruiting class got a lot better.

Just now, on HighScoolOT, 4-Star Defensive Tackle Alim McNeil (6’2”/286/Sanderson High) committed to run with the Wolfpack. 247Sports ranks McNeil as the #7 player in the state of North Carolina.

He has sat at the top of NC State’s wish list for quite sometime now.The Wolfpack coaching staff offered him on January 17th, and he declared NC State to be his leader on July 21st.

McNeil was initially supposed to announce his decision on September 9th, but on September 20th he announced that he would be delaying his decision to January 6th, when he would announce his school choice during halftime of the U.S. Army All-American game.

How big of a deal is McNeil?

Knowing he was about to commit at 10, they offered him this morning to try to sway him.

McNeil has now joined his Sanderson teammate running back Trent Pennix as a NC State commit.
