Jahquez Robinson Breaks Down His Commitment for PI

Earlier today 2020 Defensive Back Jahquez Robinson (6’2”/180) committed to NC State. We were able to catch up with him to get his thoughts on the commitment:

On committing early to NC State…

I love the atmosphere and really enjoy being there and around the coaches. It also has everything I want. I want to be an engineer and that’s what the school is known for. I want to play in the ACC and they can compete at a high level. I have already been there 3 times this year and I love it every time.

On receiving his offer from NC State…

Well, I went to a camp there this summer after I talked to my coach in the Spring saying that NC State was interested in me. I did pretty good at the camp, and that’s when Coach Dave offered me.

On why NC State offered so early…

I believe that my ball skills, length, instincts, and speed impressed the coaches.

On how he informed the NC State coaches of his commitment…

My dad called Coach Ledford to let him know that I wanted to commit, and he told coach Dave.
