Angeline played his high school ball at Downingtown East (Exton, PA), and was ranked as the #10 Tight End in the country by 247Sports, and the #245 overall player according to ESPN. He ultimately chose USC over offers from the likes of Alabama, Penn St., Georgia, Florida St., Michigan, Michigan St., Auburn, Miami, Florida, Ohio St., Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, Virginia Tech, NC State, and many others.

After redshirting last season, Angeline was a little over a month into his redshirt Freshman season when he decided that he wanted to transfer from USC.

Whatever comes of this, NC State is in the mix with a very talented Tight End in Cary Angeline.
