NC State offered 4-Star 2019 Point Guard James Bishop (6’2”/180) a scholarship when he came on an official visit to Raleigh on November 4th.

Rivals ranks Bishop as the #110 overall player in the 2019 Class.

I caught up with Bishop and he gave me some of the details on NC State’s offer of him, and what his thoughts were on the atmosphere at the Clemson game.

On how long NC State has been recruiting him…

They have been recruiting me since the spring during AAU and this offer means a lot. I’ve liked NC State since they started recruiting me, so its nice to get the offer from them.

On which schools are actively recruiting him besides NC State…

Temple, LSU, Kansas State, VCU and a couple others.

On what his experience was like at the Clemson football game…

It was great. The coaches and community made me feel like I was home. I was able to experience a college football game. It was an overall fun experience.

On what NC State head coach Kevin Keatts said to him when he offered him…

The head coach just told me that he could help get me too the next level. He said his offense is more guard based, and that I would be able to excel in his coaching style.
