Bradley Chubb is Athlon’s ACC Defensive Player of the Week
This past Saturday NC State’s Bradley Chubb put on a defensive clinic (record breaking in fact) against Boston College, who boasts one of the best offensive lines in he ACC. It didn’t go unnoticed, earning ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors from Athlon.

Chubb dominated the line of scrimmage in Saturday’s win over Boston College. The senior finished the game with eight tackles (four for a loss), 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble. (Athlon)

Offensive Player of the Week: John Wolford, QB, Wake Forest
Wolford completed 25 of 38 throws for 363 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 136 yards and three scores in Saturday’s 64-43 victory over Syracuse.
Coordinator of the Week (Offense): Warren Ruggiero, Wake Forest
Saturday’s win over Syracuse ensured Wake Forest will play in a bowl game for the second year in a row under coach Dave Clawson. The Demon Deacons’ offense was on fire during the victory over the Orange, as this unit scored on its final eight possessions (not counting kneel downs) to post 64 points (the ninth-most in school history). Ruggiero’s group amassed a school-record 734 total yards (8.2 per play), 33 first downs and averaged 7.3 yards per rush. Quarterback John Wolford led the way with 363 yards through the air, and running back Matt Colburn chipped in 237 yards and two scores on the ground. (Athlon)
