NC State Basketball
NC State is now the #1 ranked ‘Power 5’ team in TO%
Oh what a difference a year makes. Kevin Keatts has come in and changed the culture in Raleigh.
He’s taken a team with no identity and turned them into one that prides itself on creating chaos on the defensive end; particularly forcing turnovers.
To start the season, NC State turned VMI over 21 times. Then turned around and bested themselves, turning Charleston Southern over 24 times. Last night, the Wolfpack upped the ante once again, forcing Brant to turn it over 27 times. Yes, you read that right, 27 times.
Bryant's 27 turnovers tonight, tie for the 3rd-most in a game in @PNCArena History.
Its the most turnovers a @PackMensBball team has forced an opponent into at PNC Arena since Nov. 22, 2002

After that performance, NC State now ranks #1 of all Power 5 conference schools in ‘turnover percentage,’ coming in at 31.1%.
They are also #3 in all of division 1.
And to think, just last year with a lot of the same players, NC State ranked 328th in that category. If that doesn’t tell you that Keatts is making big changes around here, I don’t know what will.
