RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State senior Kevin Jack, along with Virginia Tech’s David McFadden shared Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week honors this week for their performances in the first two weeks of the 2017-18 season.

Jack, a two-time All-America for the Wolfpack from Danbury, Connecticut, defeated third-ranked Bryce Meredith of Wyoming (8-7), 16th-ranked Mike Longo of Oklahoma (technical fall, 24-5) and unranked Ethan Phillips of the Citadel (technical fall, 16-1). Jack’s win over Meredith, a former teammate, came in the NWCA All-Star Classic, while the other two wins led the Wolfpack to dual meet victories over Oklahoma and The Citadel. Jack is ranked second nationally this week in every poll.

Last season, Jack was named ACC Wrestler of the Week a league-best three times.

The Wolfpack will be in home action for the first time this season this weekend, as NC State hosts the Wolfpack Duals on Saturday at Reynolds Coliseum and then the Wolfpack Open on Sunday at Carmichael Gymnasium.
