The ‘74 and ‘83 National Title Banners Are Returning to Reynolds

The official banners from NC State’s 1974 and 1983 Men’s Basketball National Title banners are returning to Reynold’s Coliseum.

Until now, they have been hanging in the ceiling of Amedeo’s Italian Restaraunt on Western Blvd. in Raleigh. In 2007, Dave Parker, co-owner of Amedeo’s, found them in a box in a closet at NC State, and Frank Weedon, the assistant Athletic Director at the time, let him display them until they were needed again.

They are now going to be moved to Reynold’s Coliseum for NC State’s Heritage Game on Dec. 9 against UMKC.
