NC State Picks up Historic 6th ACC Win Against UNC

For the 1st time since 1994, NC State has won 6 ACC games in a single season, and oh how fitting it was that it was against UNC.

23 years.

The 2014 Wolfpack recruiting class got to accomplish something that hasn’t been done at NC State in their lifetime.

In fact, they became only the 6th NC State team to win 6 ACC games in a single season.

This team was able to do what 89% of NC State teams of the past were unable to do.

“I’m really proud of them. To have six ACC wins, it hasn’t been done in 23 years,” NC State head coach Dave Doeren said in his press conference after the game. “I think that’s a big deal for this program. Talk about going in the right direction, I think that’s a great sign for what we’re doing here.”
