NC State is in play for both the second Orlando spot or Jacksonville but the odds, right now, are on a trip to El Paso to face Oregon, Arizona or Arizona State

There’s also still a scenario for State to end up in Charlotte (hence the use of pencil for Wake in scenario #2)

To sum it up, Giglio thinks that Camping World in Orlando is an option, along with TaxSlayer in Jacksonville, but thinks the Sun Bowl in El Paso against Oregon, Arizona or Arizona St is the most likely scenario. Giglio goes into great detail in this piece on how the ACC Bowl’s work, and how Notre Dame’s loss through a kink in things.
CBSSports currently projects NC State to go to the PinStripe Bowl in Yankee Stadium against Iowa on December 27th.
SportsIllustrated currently projects NC State to go to the TaxSlayer Bowl against LSU in Jacksonville, Florida, On December 30th.
ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura agreed with CBSSports, and thinks that NC State will go to the PinStripe Bowl, but he thinks they will face Purdue. ESPN’s David Hale agrees with SI, and thinks NC State will play in the TaxSlayer Bowl, but he thinks they will play Missouri.
As you can see, this is only slightly complicated. Now we wait.
