RALEIGH, N.C. – For the first time since 2012 and just the third time in program history, the NC State volleyball team is heading to the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack (20-11) will head to Austin, Texas, to take on Oregon State (21-11) in the first round Friday afternoon, Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. (ET) inside Gregory Gymnasium.
The University of Texas will serve as the host, as the Longhorns (24-2) will face Fairfield (25-6) Friday evening at 8 p.m. (ET). The winners of each match will play at 8 p.m. ET Saturday, Dec. 2.
NC State is one of just two teams from the state of North Carolina to earn a bid to the 2017 NCAA Championships, joining High Point.
The Wolfpack also traveled to Austin in its most recent NCAA Tournament appearance in 2012 when NC State faced Texas A&M in the first round.
This season, the Pack finished the regular season with a 20-11 overall record, including a 15-5 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play which breaks the program record for wins.
