Two more names have been added to Tennessee’s wish list: USC Offensive Coordinator Tee Martin and SMU Head Coach Chad Morris.

Martin, who we’ve been told is in play for this job, now has a legit shot at it. Martin has coached in the SEC as an assistant at Kentucky. He’s a former Tennessee star who quarterbacked the Vols to a national title two decades ago and is regarded as a very good recruiter.

It is believed that the Vols have some interest in SMU head coach Chad Morris but multiple sources told SI that he is not going to interview with UT on Wednesday, contrary to reports. (SI)

Earlier today news broke that Tennessee had reached out to NC State head coach Dave Doeren, but Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy was at the top of their wish list.

If you have followed coaching searches in the past, you know these things can move fast.

Mundy just tweeted out that he was a Cowboy for life.

College Football Insider Brett McMurphy put some flesh on Gundy’s tweet.

As reported earlier, Tennessee had also reached out to Purdue’s Jeff Brohm and NC State’s Dave Doeren, but Gundy was the priority.

Gundy is obviously no longer the priority.

Now Tennessee moves down the list.

What is Doeren doing in the midst of all of this? He’s out on the recruiting trail showing love to the players that have already committed to run with the Pack.
