NC State’s Bradley Chubb Wins Nagurski Award

Last night NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb took home the Nagurski Award, handed out annually to the nations best defensive player.

Chubb chose to come back this year take care of unfinished business.

Mission accomplished.

Last week Chubb became the 2nd NC State player to earn the ACC Defensive Player is the Year Award (Levar Fisher). Last night he became the only player in school history to win the Nagurski Award (Levar Fisher was a Semifinalist in 2000). Chubb joins Clemson’s Da’Quan Bowers (2010) and Boston College’s Luke Kuechly (2011) as the 3rd ACC player to earn the award.

Chubb beat out Minkah Fitzpatrick (S, Alabama), Josey Jewell (MLB, Iowa), Ed Oliver (DT, Houston), and Roquan Smith (OLB, Georgia) to take home the hardware.
