5-star 2019 Running Back/Linebacker Quavaris Crouch (6’2″/224) just won a North Carolina state championship with Harding, and now he is refocusing his attention to his recruitment according to Adam Friedman of Rivals.  Crouch told Friedman that NC State is one of the schools that stands out to him.

“I haven’t been talking to many coaches lately,” he said. “Over this break I’ll start getting into things with coaches and colleges. Most of the ones like AlabamaGeorgiaClemsonN.C. StateSouth Carolina, and Michigan stand out. I’m just going to take my time and see where I want to go. (Rivals)

Crouch took an unofficial visit to NC State earlier this year when they beat Louisville under the lights on a Thursday night. The NC State coaches were on the sidelines taking in his game on December 1st.

“The coaches that come out to my games especially over the past few weeks have been really special,” Crouch said. “I like that they’ve taken the time out of their scheduled to come see me. That’s really special. That’s going to hold some weight because they really care and have been supporting me. (Rivals)

He has taken unofficial visits to Clemson (2x), South Carolina (2x), NC State, and Florida this year.

Crouch gets all of the buzz for what he does at the running back position. He is the #1 running back in the 2019 class according to Rivals, and the #2 overall player in the class. With that being said, Crouch ultimately has to determine which side of the ball he wants to play on at the next level.

“Trying to figure out which side of the ball I want to play on in college is a big thing for me right now,” he said. “I could go either way right now. On defense you can have some longevity, not take so many hits, and make a lot of money. I like offense a lot too. I’m just going to let God guide me.” (Rivals)

2018 Defensive Back Malik Dunlap is a 2018 NC State commit, and one of Crouch’s teammates at Harding, and the Wolfpack is actively pursuing another one of his teammates, 2018 4-star Offensive Lineman Jovaughn Gwyn.

Crouch just earned North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year honors this week.

Crouch is a major priority for NC State, and I’m sure they would be willing for him to play anywhere he pleases.
