Williams chose NC State over ECU, Colorado State and Maryland.
“It’s a family oriented place, [and] it’s close to home,” Williams said. “I know a good amount of staff and coaches there, and a few players – I went to school with some of them. It’s kind of like a big family over there.”
“We toured around, and every single person and coach I met really sat and talked to me as a person,” he said. “Not just like a coach, but a grown man, like man-to-man conversation, just talk and chop it up a little bit; that’s really want drew me. Plus I knew a good amount of staff there, so it was like a family.”(HighSchoolOT)
NC State recruited Williams to play Cornerback or Nickel, and also to possibly return kicks.
Williams had 31 receptions for 594 yards and 6 touchdowns as a Senior.
ESPN ranks him as the #26 overall player in the state of North Carolina.
