4-star Quarterback Devin Leary (6’2″/189) has officially signed his letter of intent.

Leary (Timber Creek/Sicklerville, NJ) became the 4th member of NC State’s 2018 football recruiting class, when he committed to run with the Wolfpack on April 6th.

He ultimately chose NC State over finalists Maryland, Syracuse, Boston College, Rutgers and West Virginia.

“I went down to N.C. State two weekends ago with my mom and dad and we just really enjoyed our whole trip. From the time we first got there, all the coaches greeted us. And it kind of felt like a huge family,” Leary, the 6-3, 195-pound junior told NJ.com. “It was only my second time there and I really connected with (quarterbacks) coach (Eliah) Drinkwitz (and head) coach (Dave) Doeren. All of them really just took me and my family in. So after that experience, me, my mom and dad kind of sat down and it was really just the perfect fit for me. So we just decided to pull the trigger.” (NJ)

Leary is the #230 overall player in the 2018 class according to Rivals. They also rank him as the #8 quarterback in the class, and the #6 player in the state of New Jersey.

He recently was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in New Jersey for the second consecutive season, and is the highest rated QB to commit to NC State since Mike Glennon in 2008.

Leary passed for 2,863 yards and 31 touchdowns as a Senior, and his 105 scores through the air and 9,672 yards are all-time bests in the Garden State.
