After missing the past two weeks (6 games) with a hip injury, former NC State point guard Dennis Smith Jr returned for the Mavs last night, and helped lead them to a 110-93 victory against the Raptors. He scored 15 points (5-10 FG), and also picked up 5 assists and 5 rebounds in only 21 minutes of play.

“We needed that. We were missing some of the stuff that he brings, obviously. With his mindset of always attacking in the open court, he made some great plays at the rim early. That set a good tone for us,” Nowitzki said of Smith’s return.

“I was just coming out and trying to do what I do. My legs were heavy at first and I had to get my second wind,” Smith added while summing up his night.(NBA)
