Yesterday, NC State’s Jaylen Samuels, Nyheim Hines and Jerod Fernandez spoke with the media down in El Paso before Friday’s matchup against Arizona St. in the Sun Bowl.
Running Back Hines gave props to the NC State training staff, Jaylen Samuels, and said that the Offensive Line was what made the Wolfpack offense good. When asked what he brings to the team he said: “A little bit of versatility, a little bit of speed, and a whole lot of heart.”

Linebacker Jerod Fernandez made it clear that NC State’s defense is a close knit group with Chubb on the field, and a close knit group without Chubb on the field. He also talked about the superiority of Florida High School football compared to North Carolina high schools.
@J4nando on playing with/without Chubb Friday: “We’re a close knit group. With Chubb out there we’re close knit, and without Chubb we’re close knit. That’s something we pride ourselves on.”
