It’s Official: Bradley Chubb Won’t Play in the Sun Bowl

It’s official. NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb will not play in the Sun Bowl against Arizona St.

Doeren understands. I understand. All Wolfpack fans should understand.

Chubb made the wisest decision.

His stock isn’t going to get any higher than it already is. He won the ACC Defensive Player of the Year award. He broke NC State’s career record for sacks and tackles for loss. He won the Nagurski Award given to the nations best defensive players.

Chubb is most likely going to be the first defensive player off the board on Draft day, and if either of the first two picks decide to not take a quarterback, Chubb could hear his name called.

Sure, Chubb has an insurance policy, but I doubt his insurance policy guarantees him $15 million. If Chubb were to be a Top-5 pick, he would be guaranteed $15 million, and there would be much more where that came from.

Chubb has been in El Paso all week. He’s been on the field with his brothers. Heck, he’s even participated in stretching drills. He was the first one into the hospital rooms to visit children. He was dancing soon as he got off the plane.

Bradley Chubb is one of the best players to ever play at NC State. Ever.

Chubb doesn’t owe NC State or it’s fans the Sun Bowl, but what they owe him is the utmost appreciation for the past 4 years.
