NC State’s 2018 recruiting class just got a whole lot better, picking up a verbal commitment from Cary Angeline (6’7”/240), a former Tight End at Southern California.

Angeline played his high school ball at Downingtown East (Exton, PA), was a 4-star prospect, and the #10 Tight End in the country by 247Sports, and the #245 overall player according to ESPN. He ultimately chose USC over offers from the likes of Alabama, Penn St., Georgia, Florida St., Michigan, Michigan St., Auburn, Miami, Florida, Ohio St., Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, Virginia Tech, NC State, and many others.

After redshirting last season, Angeline was a little over a month into his redshirt Freshman season when he decided that he wanted to transfer from USC.

Back on November 4th, Angeline took in NC State’s game against Clemson with his family.

Angeline ultimately chose to run with the Wolfpack over Pitt, Syracuse and Virginia, and is the 23rd member of the 2018 NC State recruting class.
